Logotype design

The Dutch magazine for environmental planning and urban development S+RO got a massive restyle, from scratch. For the typography the designers Max Kisman and Joost Verhaak chose our typeface Actium. However, as logo the title S+RO type set in Actium didn’t answer their desire. Amongst other reasons, it mismatched with the highly expressive, multi coloured series of front covers.

To fix this, we drew upon Actium a more modest, laid back logotype version hitting the cover now each issue. Additionally the new circular ‘O’ allows for way better placement of a dot inside the letter.
